What's your favourite Japanese food?

Kimpira and Chikuzen-ni that are healthy Japanese dishes but not common in Canada. I also like sushi, tempura, edamame, gomae, and agedashi tofu! I like cooking of Japanese food. Try them if you want :D

How did you become interested in Japan and its language?

Because I lived in Japan since I was born! It is my native country :D

What is your level of proficiency with spoken and written Japanese?

I lived near Tokyo (Saitama and Yokohama, Kanagawa ) for a long time, so I have very native standard Japanese pronunciation and writting! My English is just intermediate level, I need to practice more I have learned it for a long time though :)

What do you hope to achieve through your membership with this group?

To make many friends who are multicultural and Canadian. To improve my English SPEAKING AND LISTENING skills more. In Japan, we haven't had so much opportunities for listening and speaking in our English education system (that sucks), and you know that Japan is a mono-cultural country that we need to know much more another cultures... At the same time, I want to give knowledge of Japanese cultures to the people who want to understand it :D

I've been in Van since June 2012. I was a software engineer for 9 years in Japan and taking a long time rest now :D I like cooking,photo-taking and talking with multicultural people.. Hope to make lots of friends and improve my English more!
