Open Seattle Japanese Language and Culture Meetup

India Bistro is one of the better Indian restaurants within Seattle city limits, so you will want to be there this week!

Come and speak Japanese while munching on naan, chickpeas and Goan fish curry!

We'll order a bunch of food to share, because it's just more fun that way.

Expect $16-21/person for food. If you have any dietary requirements beyond making sure there's a reasonable assortment of vegetarian, meat and seafood dishes, please add a comment ahead of time or email me. I usually put in the group's order around 7pm. Sometimes we add on a few things as needed.

Drinks will be handled separately. I sometimes get the clove martini.

Bring plenty o cash, please. Settling the bill with two tired children is painful enough without juggling half a dozen credit cards.

Parking is relatively painless in this neighborhood, and bus access is generally easy with most routes that pass through the U-District, a few that head toward Northgate, and some that go along the I-5 near Greenlake.

Nijikai will probably be at The Atlantic Crossing because it just seems to be a rule. But on rare occasions in this neighborhood we end up at Teddy's, Pies and Pints or Die Bierstube. There's also a chance we'll try to be trendy and try to squeeze in with the cool kids at Mutiny Hall.

I'll try to be in the neighborhood by 6pm, if anyone wants to pre-kai with me. You'll probably find me reading some random book on my Kindle in Casa Patron.

I think the map is wrong. There's two India Bistro's, and the group map indicates the one in Ravenna.

I'd assume the one on Roosevelt, which is where we've gone in the past. Plus he mentions Atlantic crossing in the description.

The nijikai is in Ravenna--do you mean the Roosevelt location (on the map) and not Ballard (in the description) then?
