Meetup details changed: Open Seattle Japanese Language and Culture Meetup

From: Jason T.
Sent on: Monday, April 30, 2012 7:09 PM

I've updated this Meetup. For more details, see the full listing:

When: Thursday, May 3,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Highstrike Grill
[masked]th Avenue Southwest
Seattle, WA 98116

This week we're visiting a joint that I hear is a league above most bowling alley diners.

The Highstrike Grill's got unsurprising choices for a diner but apparently surprisingly decent quality. We'll order separately, but please be prepared for the possibility that we'll all be on the same check; bring cash to make settling the bill less complicated.

There's a hummus plate, mahi mahi tacos, pizzas, burgers, and apparently, nachos that involve real cheese, which I'm pretty sure hasn't been seen since the 70s in other bowling alleys. Prices are pretty reasonable; if you splurge and get the ribeye steak dinner, you'll be out $20 + tax/tip, but most items are around $7-12.

Ask for a reservation under Jason Truesdell.

Bus access is pretty easy with routes 54 and 55; if you think you'll need a lift home, send me a quick email and I'll try to match you up with a carpool. Parking should be easy because it's at a bowling alley.

My psychic nijikai prediction ability tells me Nijikai will involve bowling. It's a good week for any under-21 folks that want to be out a bit later, as well.

This Meetup repeats every week on Thursday.

If the changes affect your plans to attend, please take a moment to update your RSVP. (You can RSVP "No" or "Yes".)

You can always get in touch with me through my group profile on Meetup.
