Thursday's Meetup @ Trago South Lake Union

From: Jason T.

I've updated this Meetup. For more details, see the full listing:
http://www.meetup.com/JapaneseSeattle/events/76278972/

When: Thursday, August 9,[masked]:30 PM

Where: TRAGO Cocina & Lounge
701 Westlake Ave N.
Seattle, WA 98109

This week, we're right on the tip of South Lake Union, next to the Center for Wooden Boats. I'm going to imagine improbably warm summer weather, so that eating by the lake seems like a good idea, even if today is foggy and cool.

We'll order separately, so you can choose whatever you want to eat. However, they'll probably do just one check, so I'll be acting as chief payment czar as usual.

Prices are reasonable, though maybe just a touch higher than average for standard-issue Mexican food. It's possible to eat here for about $16/person after tax and tip, though most of the interesting dishes are a bit more; expect $16-26 for food plus whatever tequila-based beverage you feel like imbibing. If the weather works out to be nice, though, we'll be able to get a little breeze from Lake Union when they open up the roll up doors.

Please bring cash. If Kojiro starts screaming because I have to juggle several credit cards while trying to settle the bill, I'm going to harness him directly to your ear.

The South Lake Union Streetcar is the easiest way to get here from say, Westlake mall downtown. There's generally plentiful street parking nearby, and some cheap pay lots if that doesn't work out. Bus access is easiest with routes 17, 26, 28 or 30, and a reasonable walk with routes 5, 358, or the non-express versions of 70, 71, 72 and 73.

If there are a bunch of salsa dancers in the group, nijikai can be right here, or you can wander over to Jillian's and play pool instead.

This Meetup repeats every week on Thursday.

If the changes affect your plans to attend, please take a moment to update your RSVP. (You can RSVP "No" or "Yes".)

You can always get in touch with me through my group profile on Meetup.
