Unique in its kind, the event is an invaluable opportunity for businesses to exhibit their services, for entrepreneurs to network and learn of myriad helpful resources, and for attending a business conference featuring leading speakers on various pertinent topics. ADVERTISING Israeli residents from North America, Europe, South Africa, and other English speaking countries face various cultural and/or legal struggles when trying to succeed in the “Sabra” business world. Unfortunately, as a result, many promising ventures continually struggle or were even forced to shut down. Many Anglo-Israelis feel forced to keep their business in their original country, taking the painful step of being away from their family and Land for extended periods of time. Ever since its founding, the Chamber’s Israel Division has helped bridge the gaps by fostering coveted relationships across the Israeli political, diplomatic and business spectrum, and hosting innovative networking events, such as the flagship Expo and Conference. “There is no way to quantify just how many cascading success stories have resulted from the Israel Division and last year’s inaugural Expo and Conference,” says Duvi Honig, Founder and CEO of the Chamber, “We look forward to building upon all this empowerment and success at the upcoming event.”

  • Commercial Opportunities of Space Technologies for Jerusalem

JCT Academic Center (Jerusalem College of Technology) Auditorium, Low Building of Applied Physics

JBNF is proud to announce: "Commercial Opportunities of Space Technologies for Jerusalem" with the following experts: David Kamoun - Head, Space Optics & Remote Sensing Lab, JCT Amiram Rotem - Director, Ecology Unit, City of Jerusalem Meir Chen - Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder, WITI, Former Director, Space Division, IAI Eyal Agassi - Head, Environmental Physics Department, Israel Biological Research Institute February 22, 2017 - 17:30 JCT Academic Center (Jerusalem College of Technology)Auditorium,Room 405, Low Building of Applied Physics 21 Hava'ad Haleumi street, Givat Mordecai, Jerusalem The purpose of the workshop is to explore exciting opportunities for Space Technologies that exist in Jerusalem. Quality of Life (QoL) is the most important indicator for well-being in cities. QoL covers everything from environment and health to education, freedom, culture and wealth of people. A city with a high Quality of Life will attract people and a city with low Quality of Life loses people. Paradoxically, most cities give very few resources to monitoring and enhancing QoL. The City of Jerusalem has an Environmental Unit which would have a lot to gain if it could apply space remote sensing to solve its problems. The data is largely available but requires considerable effort to extract the intelligence required for the many specific applications for maintaining a city's well being - from pollution, forest fires, illegal construction and dumping, road traffic control, and many others. Matching the City's needs for ecological monitoring to the resources of the newly established Center of Space Optics and Remote Sensing at JCT could lead to breaktroughs not only for low cost city wide ecological monitoring of Jerusalem but for many cities in the world. The center is led by a leading European Space scientist, Dr David Kamoun, and submits 5 to 10 student research projects a year. This workshop will explore whether the Center for Space Optics and Remote Sensing at the JCT could develop solutions to the ecological needs of the City of Jerusalem. A panel of four experts will discuss this proposition and give their conclusions. Dr David Kamoun will present the center's capabilities and Amiram Rotem will present goals and needs for ecological monitoring of the City. Meir Chen and Eyal Agassi can presents the Israel Remote Sensing capabilities.
