Shabbat Meditation
Please join us for this week's sit at 4pm this afternoon at B'nai Keshet (99 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair), where a small but dedicated group is practicing mindfulness meditation in a Jewish context every Shabbat. There is a beauty and peacefulness when we sit together as a group and support each other's ability to practice. The sit leaders alternate each week. We frequently begin with a chant, followed by two separate sits with kavvanot (intentions) inspired by the calendar, the weekly Torah portion or our daily lives. All are welcome and there is no cost to attend. We look forward to seeing you. more information at:

What we're about

Meditation in a Jewish Context on Shabbat afternoons at 4:30 in Montclair NJ. Jewish meditation is a method of slowing down, calming the mind, cultivating awareness, compassion and Jewish wisdom. We will explore the silence within. Through Jewish meditation, we connect to a sense of spirituality as we shift our focus from “doing” and “accomplishing” to simply being present to experience the moment.
