We will offer several periods of sitting and walking meditation; Sewing Buddha's Robe is the silent activity of the weekend, open for all who are interested in learning the "namu-kie-butsu" stitch. Other silent activities in the kitchen and in the garden are available as well.
We offer six meals and the possibility of staying on-site for the two nights. The event is free, recommended donations are $45 for half-day, $90 for full-day and $180 for weekend participation, sliding scale to Zero is available, please let us know what works for you. We welcome people of any age, gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, native language, nationality, immigrant status, religion, skin complexion, cultural heritage, education, marital status, etc... We offer refuge to all beings.
If you are a CoHousing neighbor, especially if you are a teenager, we offer introduction as requested for any part of our events, including our meals, silent hot tub times, Dharma talks and activities within the silence. Please indicate in advance you are coming - we need to know the meal count by Thursday evening.
The weekend, from the end of our first meal (Friday dinner) to the beginning of the closing meal (Sunday lunch), will be silent.
