WHAT!? You mean you send Juniors out to clients on their OWN?! Is that REALLY what happens at a consultancy?
Does working in an agency mean you are changing projects EVERY week?!
Will you be just another "resource" in a Big Enterprise?
We are busting the myths and bringing you on the journey of what it's really like working in a bunch of different types of companies. Hear from Junior Devs and not-so-junior devs about what their day-to-day looks like, what are the differences and the challenges, and what are the good bits!
All to help you understand where you might want to go for your first or next job!
We will also be running the "Open Mic" for anyone to jump up and share details about jobs, training, and opportunities for Junior Developers.
Thanks to our event sponsors Bankwest & Mechanical Rock!
Hosting the night are LJ Kenward & Adam Watkins.
So who are Junior Devs? We believe in self-identifying, but we generally consider Junior Developers between 0 - 3 years of experience. Junior Developers are from EVERYWHERE! Computer Science/ Engineering / IT Graduates, for sure, and also Bootcamp attendees, self-taught coders, freecodecampers, hobbyists! You don't have to be working to be a part of this community, students and learners are totally welcome! Non Junior Devs are welcome too, it's always great to have a spread of experience in the crowd during social time :)
