I believe something that becomes more and more difficult to ignore- The American government cares more about political agendas than it does about America or Americans. Unfortunately, I'm in the same non-radio-having-boat as most Americans, in that I know very little about politics and how this country is currently managed (or mismanaged). Transparency is not one of 'our' governments strong points. There is this incredible amount of secrecy in terms of much that they do, including the creation and distribution of money. And when we hear things like, "Trillions of dollars in debt", or "Billions went missing", we as citizens are so numb to it and used to clinging on to what we have, that it slides on by allowing more corruption. It's a scary and unknown 'idea' to think that your own government is corrupt and how so, but all the signs are there if we care enough about America and the world to look. That is the first step in change; the next would be to practice what we preach and take action. I hope to do both with this group. There is always a part of my humanity that hates having to take more moral responsibility than those with significantly more social power, but if we look at history and our humanity itself, that's the only way things improve. I don't know where this group may lead, but some solid ground rules are, honesty, observation, non-violence, logic, and a desire for truth more than assumption (good or bad).
