Re: [Just-Food-City-Chicken-Meetup-NYC] Young hens for sale

We lost a white hen with feathered feet and a fluffy head (crested) not long ago.  She was my son's favorite of our tiny flock (only room for 3).  If you have one like that (he will only let me get a replacement if it's the same and of course I can't only order one) I owuld love to buy her.  I'm out of town but back on the 3rd or perhaps I can get my husband to pick up before then if ou have one.

Thanks for your consideration.

WE bought an order of large brown egg layers from Mcmurray – all hens.  We will keep about a half dozen for our backyard flock in Brooklyn and planned to take the rest to a friend upstate, but now we can’t get out of town as we planned to deliver them.  They are now a month old and ready for more space than we have for them.  All healthy and various breeds:  Black Australorps; Lt. Brahmas; Dark Cornish; Black and White Giants; Buff and White Orpingtons; New Hampshire, Rhode Island Reds, Barred, White, Partridge, Buff Rocks;Delaware, Sussex, Turkens; White, Silver Laced, & Columbian Wyandottes, Red Star and Black Star.   We are looking to make back some of our cost on them, they have cost us about $12 a chick after food (organic) etc.    We were think $10 for one hen, $17 for two and $5 per chick after that.  Give us a shout if you are interested.  An easy way to start or add to your flock with young, healthy hens.  Thanks, fiona
