And it can be a combination of auditors or riders. No limits.  This is my way of saying thank  you for helping to spread the word and sharing these clinics with people. Nothing better than word of mouth advertising.

Riders: New sliding scale pricing for 2 day clinic is based on the # of riders participating. The more that attend the less the clinic will cost.

17 riders cost is $150,

20 riders cost is $130

$20 Discount for Early Sign Ups received 3 weeks ahead of clinic.

One day pricing see below.

Any registrations received at least 2 weeks ahead of time will get the benefit of a call from Lawrance to discuss your goals and what you want to accomplish during the clinic.

We came up with this sliding scale pricing based on feedback from attendees last year. We had to find a way to meet the minimum needs of our clinician and cover costs, yet still be able to hold the clinic if there were only a few who could attend.  Our participants came up with this solution and were more than willing to pay more to keep Lawarance coming up.  They understand Lawrance is the caliber of horseman that receives top rates.  But  he wants to make himself available to a wider audience during the economic challenges many of us are facing.  Many of us still value and appreciate being able to learn and grow as horsemen even if we don't have the same income we used to have.  Lawrance gives you the full value of what you pay for and more. Lawrance wants to make what he has to offer available to more people and a lower cost is one of the ways to make it happen.  And if everyone gets involved in promoting the clinic and bring some friends who want to learn and improve as horsemen, then the cost will drop for everyone and we gain the benefit of being able to learn from more people. We all bring something valuable to the clinic by allowing others to learn with us as we go thru the clinic.

So How does it work? Registration forms need to be received 2 weeks prior to the clinic date with a $200 non-refundable deposit. (Any received 3 weeks ahead will get an additional $20 discount to say thanks for jumping on the band wagon and getting your stuff in early.)  When we get to the 2 week date before the clinic (March 24th), I will take a count of how many have signed up and then you will either pay more or receive a refund (or you can apply the refund to a future clinic).  Final payment for the clinic needs to be received 2 weeks ahead of time or as soon after we determine final cost as possible.

If there are more registrations received after the deadline but prior to the clinic (and right now they are still coming in for April's clinic), I will adjust the price accordingly and issue refunds or credits. Any refunds will be given after the clinic has been held.

FYI: As of March 28th, I have 9 forms and know of at least 5 more on their way to me.  I count you registered once I receive the forms and deposit. Send the full $200 deposit please.

ALA CARTE PRICING FOR ONE DAY OR PORTION OF A DAY:

If you can only attend one day or part of a day, you are welcome to join us for the cost of $75 for each morning or afternoon session.  So if you want to come to one full day, it would be $75 for morning plus $75 for the afternoon = $150 for the day.  If you wanted to just do the afternoon individual sessions, it would be $75 for each afternoon or 2 x $75 = $150.  If you can only do one afternoon session it would be $75.

A few people have told me their budget will only allow them to go up to a certain amount, such as $300 or $250 max.  Please tell me what your budget is.  I'll do my best to get the rider numbers up so that the clinic fees will go down.  Any help you can give to promote the clinic would be appreciated.  But if cost ends up being more than you can afford for both days, then you can shift to attending the sessions ala carte and any credit can be shifted to the next clinic to give you a head start.

For future clinics, if people want to make monthly payments towards the fee, you can send it to me and we'll make sure it's credited to your fee.  I'll be able to take debit and credit cards for the clinics soon too.

If the clinic is canceled, all fees will be refunded or credited to a future clinic. Your choice.

What will we do at the clinics?

We will start at 8 am with a group session for people new to Natural Horsemanship that will last approximately 1.5-2 hours to help them get started with the 7 games. More experienced horseman who know the 7 games are welcome to participate during this time if you like, but it’s not required that you be there.  We will take a short break and then at 10 am will continue the group session with everyone.  We will do some ground work and progress to saddle work. Work on softening, flexing, responsiveness, done naturally to get the horse mentally and physically ready to work & connected to you. We will work on obstacles and more depending on the group.   We will take a lunch break around noon for approx. 30-45 minutes. When we return in the afternoon, we will have individual sessions scheduled with the clinician at which you can work on specific things that you need assistance with.  If there are other riders wanting to work on the same thing, such as cantering or riding in groups, you might be worked together to allow you to learn from one another.  You will receive the time and attention you need to work on things. You are welcome to stay and learn from watching other’s sessions, however you are not required to be present. Anyone who turns in their reg. form 2 weeks ahead of time will get a pre-clinic call from Lawrance to discuss what you want to work on.

Who is Lawrance Valdez?

Lawrance Valdez has been a working horse trainer for more than thirty years. He first started training horses professionally at the age of eighteen. Already an accomplished trainer, he graduated from Ricks College with a degree in Horsemanship and Stable Management. As the top student in his graduating class, Lawrance was chosen to serve his internship at the King Ranch, the largest horse ranch in the United States, home of the Quarter Horse breed, in Kingsville, Texas where he learned cutting from some of the best trainers in the horse industry.

After working at the King Ranch, Lawrance chose to return to his home town of Rupert, Idaho where he pursues his career as a professional horse trainer, showman, roper, instructor and clinician. He has also gained the respect from the gaited horse community by specializing in training gaited horses of several different breeds.

Lawrance has also been a student of the Pat Parelli method for more than fifteen years. He earned his level 3.  He has traveled extensively putting on clinics. He has taught and refined the methods to teach others this incredible horse program that reaches a deeper level of communication between a human and their horse. It requires many hours of dedicated effort, patience, practice and time with your horse to attain the level of proficiency that Lawrance has achieved using this system of training.

Lawrance has extensive credits in other areas of the horse world as well. He is an award-winning Reining Horse Champion, having already captured the title of "Idaho State Reining Champion" during his progressive horse career. Lawrance has never limited himself in what he can learn in the horse field. He was a Licensed Judge and is a teacher in the horse show world. He has instructed many queen contestants, with most of his students going on to win one or more Queen Titles. Currently he continues to train colts, give riding lessons, put on clinics, judge fun shows, participates in local 4-H groups, show's his own horses, and expand his own education by attending clinics from other horse professionals several times a year.

*It is important to note that while Lawrance studied extensively with Parelli (he earned his level 3) and teaches the method 95% of the time, he chose not to become a Certified Parelli Instructor.  He wanted to share the full breadth of his knowledge from more than 30 years of involvement with horses and his many mentors.

If you are interested in learning more about Parelli, go to their website: www.parelli.com

Also check out the on-line support group Parelli Connect, and join for a 30 day free trial and take advantage of discounts and the voluminous amount of learning material and the complete level one program to help get you started.  www.parelliconnect.com

If you choose to continue after the 30 day trial, it’s only $10 to $20 a month, depending on what works for you.

Be sure to leave me your email address or address so I can forward the forms to you.

To support you in your horsemanship journey, Sandy will be doing some mini-clinics to introduce people to the 7 games and help them get started so they have a better understanding of the games, their purpose, horsenalities and so on before you arrive at the clinic.  I will add the dates to the meetup calendar shortly.  They will start in May and will be held at her place or at Birt Arena on weekday evenings.

She also gives private natural horsemanship lessons at your place or hers and holds playdays.  Have Fun and Keep it Natural !!!

May the Horse Be With You.   (I love that one)

Clinic Dates are:  April 6-7, June 8-9 and Sept 28-29

Lawrance is a phenomenal instructor; any and everybody will get attention they need, no matter what level they are. THAT is rare when taking a clinic but so many of us felt we received SO much more than we hoped for.
