Events are designed to provide a safe space for individuals to ask questions and learn more about how justice issues play out in the world as well as the Chicagoland area.
In this visually rich drama blending art and science, we follow an environmental exploration of wildfires, hurricanes, sea level rise, a struggling coal mining community, and our changing air supply. With rare compassion, THE HUMAN ELEMENT highlights Americans on the front lines of climate change, inspiring us to re-evaluate our relationship with the natural world. We will also examine these issues through the lens of our faith in a discussion with our expert panelist and explore some practical steps we can take to care for God's creation.
Event will take place on Friday January 24th at the Yellow Box in Naperville.
“Black, White & Us” explores racism in America like it has never been seen before through the lives of four white families who adopt African American children and overcome their own inherent biases to become advocates. From the award-winning filmmaker of "An Ordinary Hero" and "The Uncomfortable Truth", Loki Mulholland reveals the challenges faced by the parents, children and our society while exposing the darker side of those adoption agencies who profit from it. Is there a way to fix our country’s racial divide? These transracial adoptive families just might provide the answer.
