Well Gulch Nature Trail

Total distance: 2.8 (round trip!)
Degree of difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Pets must be under control and on a leash not exceeding 6 feet in length.

Comments:

Wildflowers and riparian ecosystem line this plush 1.4 mile trail.   A self-guided nature tour takes you through the meadow, mountain shrub, Douglas fir and ponderosa ecosystems, with stations along the way illustrating botany, geology and animal life in Lory State Park.   For those looking for a longer hike, the trail branches off into the Timber and Overlook Trails.

Please arrive by 8:45am - maps with trail information and trail head location are available at the entrance to the park.   Also see trailmap on link attached.

Entrance Fee:  $7 per vehicle per day.  You may want to consider car pooling :)

      Hi Wendy - the hike is 9am - arriving around 15 minutes prior to start is always advisable :). Yes - you can come ! We almost never fill up and ther is usually some no shows (unfortunately)! But always good to ask! We cannot go over 15 people or we need to apply for a special permit
