AUG 25 KAYAK from BARN ISLAND to NAPATREE BEACH via SANDY POINT + Pot luck BBQ

  • Aug 25, 2012 · 11:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Hi Everyone,

I have decided since this is a far away event from the Hartford area its only going to be a Saturday Event and it needs good BEACH WEATHER to make the trip worthwhile.

Well its not blazing hot beach weather, and there is some wind, yet it should be OK for us anyway.

See you all interested there..

-- EVERYTHING DEPENDS ON PREDICTED WEATHER AND SEA CONDITIONS TO DETERMINE IF THIS LOCATION IS ACCEPTABLE --OR-- IF A MORE APPROPRIATE ALTERNATE LOCATION IS TO BE CHOSEN FOR THE DAY. (Something more local to the Hartford Area). Check Back in a few days for updates and use the links below to see the trend.

IF Necessary -- Saturday Morning apx 8 am based on the current report at the site of the event i will make a decision if it looks like it will not be good enough for the day....

Napatree Point Beach is the main destination to relax for the day's trip.!

Thanks to everyone that came out to Kayak this site to make it a productive simple day trip paddle event. The beach was nice and relaxing, yes the DEP/ beach patrolls made the rounds, we skirted them and continued in our normal ways. (May be after Labor Day next year they are gone).
The Pot luck was good as always, will look for a new spot next year but may have to be a ways out of town.
