Kansas Freethought Society:

"The Rationality of Freethought" this coming Tue, May 22, 7pm at Perkins.  This sounds like a very interesting question from Tom.  I love it!  This will fit nicely with a huge event I'm planning for June 16 with the Skeptics. The event will last the entire weekend of the 16th. Please read below for Tom's Question(s).  It's a great question.

Is your non-belief based on rationality? Or perhaps on an emotional reaction to the distrust of, disappointment in or betrayal by religion? I never believed and feel very fortunate yet I am sympathetic to those who have left religion for whatever reason.
Either way, I hope you will find considerable, rational support during this month's meeting through the commentaries of renowned intellectuals and input from our members.
