This is an almost circular walk. Hills (optional) and canals are the theme for today's walk in the green suburbs of London Travelzones 4 and 5.

Get out, explore and enjoy London's abundant green spaces and surprising surrounding countryside, whilst making new friends in a group walk!! Give up the city streets for a day and breathe some fresh air. Improve your overall fitness levels, whilst chatting to new people during the walk and socialising afterwards in a pub.

ROUTE: Join us for a near circular walk involving, Belvue Park, the historic village of Northolt, the moated site on which manors have stood since William the Conqueror gifted the original manor to Geoffrey De Mandeville after the conquest in 1066. Followed by a scenic canal walk and several optional hilltop views.

DISTANCE: Approx 5 miles. Mostly flat with optional gradients (hilltop views).

START: Meeting at Northolt Station (Central Line -Zone 5). When you arrive at the start look for the 'KEN'S EVENTS' Flag/Sign. If you are running a few minutes late, don't worry, we usually wait a short time for latecomers. If you are more than 15 mins late you will have to catch us up. Head to Northolt Village and Belvue Park, and then the Cafe at Northala fields.

FINISH and PUB SOCIAL: We end this walk at a very large pub (Greenwood hotel/pub) reasonably close (500 yards) to Sudbury Hill Station and also not far from Northolt, Northolt Park and Greenford stations, offering Central and Piccadilly lines, GWR and Chiltern railways. Also a bus can be caught from outside pub taking you to several stations.

RAIN POLICY - If the weather is very wet, we may curtail or postpone the walk, therefore please check this page on the day. Light rain is not usually a problem.

COST: FREE for holders of the KENS EVENTS CARD.
