Kadampa Meditation Center of Long Island formerly Dipamkara Meditation Center is located on the beautiful north shore of Long Island. The Center offers weekly drop-in classes, beginner meditation classes, day courses, classes for children and families, day and weekend retreats, and in-depth study programs.
The General Program provides a basic introduction to Buddhist view, meditation, and practice that is suitable for beginners, yet still engaging for those with more experience. Sunday is family day at our Center 11:30-1pm with three meditation classes happening in three separate meditation rooms; for adults, teens and children. We offer weekday classes Mon-Wed at 12noon and 7pm and Thursday 12noon plus new 10:30-11:30 Parents and Babies class on Tuesdays.
Holly McGregor is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center in Huntington.
