Learning to meditate is essential for a stress-free and meaningful life! The Kadampa Meditation Centre in Tokyo offers everyone the opportunity to develop true happiness and better relationships with others through learning meditation and participating in study programmes.
Our weekly drop-in classes are taught by qualified Buddhist teachers, are easy to understand and apply to our daily lives. The classes offer scientific methods for improving our human nature and qualities through developing the capacity of our mind with emphasize on how to use meditation and subsequent practices in the midst of the busyness of modern life. Practicing both on and off the cushion, we learn how to overcome irritation and anger, reduce stress, become more mindful and improve concentration. Classes are suitable for both beginners and more advanced practitioners and consist of 2 guided meditations, a short teaching and discussion. No need to bring anything or wear special clothes – just something comfortable to sit on the floor or on a chair. Feel free to drop in any or every week.
