Don, are there any of the Big Data Fest Hackathon materials, rules and format available for re-use? A few folks in our company are starting a crowd-sourced hack across the US and I wondered if we could accelerate the process by re-using what was done for this one?

    Many thanks!

    REMINDER ABOUT PARKING
Park in the garage of our 333 West 11th building ( just next to the Folly Theater, see link below) . Take the elevator to the lobby then exit from the lobby to the DST building immediately North across the street. (address is 1055 Broadway). Check in with the guard and take the elevators to 3rd floor. http://follytheater.org/parking-access/

Those of you who've RSVP's to the Meetup on 2/4 the security folks at DST will need a full name in order to verify your identity. So, unless you are Cher, Bono, Jewel or Prince, please use a complete name (e.g. Bullwinkle J. Moose) here so that we know who you are.

Who do we send that to?

      January 23, 2014

    • Don P.

You just need to use your full name on this group. The RSVP list is what the security people at DST will use.

Sorry. I meant the MeetUp on the 6th in the post below.

Big Data = Return of the Jedi with the quants and PhD's finding a seat at the table of executive decision making with their proven skill to build compelling data models that can formulate/recalibrate enterprise strategies. The quants would impose an inductive mandatory learning skill for the execs to understand and assimilate big data as a strategic asset that can be prescriptive and predictive of achievable targets.

If the insights are compelling then the induction won't need to be mandatory.
