    UPDATED!! Join me at Ollie's Local every Saturday morning for board game brunch where we now have seats for 20 people and a large table for bigger games like Zombicide and Scythe! As always, with dice in one hand and a Build your own Bloody Mary (or Mimosa) in the other, you'll make new friends, eat delicious food, and enjoy fantastic service! Invite your friends and bring a board game or choose one from my collection. It is highly encouraged that everyone attending the brunch patronize the resturant in return for them allowing us use of the space. The food and service is really great and the prices are reasonable. Due to space restrictions, our RSVPs are limited to 20. If you rsvp and then can not come, please update so someone from the waitlist can attend. Please park across the street in the church parking lot per the owners request due to the small size of the parking lot at Ollies.

    There are many games that require a lot of space and time to play, and there is plenty of both at this event! All game types are welcome, but there will be an emphasis on bigger and more complicated games. Feel free to bring your own that you're looking to play, or pick from a large library! New games are added weekly and we can take requests. Don't worry about not knowing the rules or having a group to play with. Someone will be available to help teach the games they know and to help get groups together to start new games.

    Play games! Make new friends or play with old ones. Alamo Drafthouse and Level Up Events are hosting Monday Night Board Game Tavern. We'll be bringing a large selection of games for people to play or learn, and we are here to make sure people have groups to play with. You are more than welcome to bring your own games as well! Please support the bar and staff by ordering drinks, food, and by tipping. Supporting the venue will help ensure we can keep coming back with more great games! Come earlier for Happy Hour Specials 3 pm to 7 pm. Street parking available on 14th, Truman, Baltimore, and Alamo validate the KCP&L parking garage with receipt. 18+ Event.

  • Downtown Weekly Gaming Meetup!

    Show up when you can! You don't need to get here at 5pm to get in some games. Many regulars don't make it till between 6pm to 6:30pm. I you are going to come later, let us know so we can hold a spot in a game for you. We will begin with lighter games that are quick or easily joined. Then we can break out onto some of the tables in smaller groups if numbers and space allows. Come teach us your favorite game or learn one of ours! We should have plenty of players for a few different games and enough time to try a variety. Come hungry and thirsty! There is may be an automatic 18% tip on all tabs, if not, please take into account the extra time servers are helping us out when you are tipping. Also, if you come to just drink water or soft drinks, bring money for a tip. We like this location and do not want to lose it.

    Tabletop in Overland Park hosts a game night every Thursday, they have nice big tables and a central location. We could get a group together to go play some more in depth games like Settlers of Catan, Small World, Munchkin or something else (Dominion?).

    We're a group of board gamers who get together Friday nights at the Opera House KC. Come join us! We love meeting new people and playing games. Our group plays all types of games, from Galaxy Trucker to Settlers of Catan, from Blood Rage to Munchkin, and more. We always bring some of our own but we're always looking to learn new ones so please feel free to bring whatever you like playing. Opera House has food, full service coffee, and happy hour from 4-6. We'll be next to the bar in the lower area with a stack of games. We look forward to seeing you there!
