Our paddles are usually 7 - 8 miles long. Please confirm that you are a strong paddler who has a great deal of experience kayaking. Our paddles try to provide aerobic exercise, so we paddle at a good clip and do not stop for about 3.5 - 4.0 miles.

Still working on rolling my Seaward Legend sea kayak, but otherwise feel fairly confident in most conditions.

How many miles can you comfortably paddle? You need to be able to paddle 7-8 miles at a good speed with only one short break, in order to paddle with us. Sometimes, we are not able to get out of our boats for that break.

Regularly paddle 8-10 miles (3-4 for daily exercise). 16 miles is at the edge of comfort. Avoid the Caloosahatchie when the wind picks up.

We encourage people to join just to walk with us. No need to have a dog. Guests are always welcome on our walks. Do you plan to walk with us? If so, will you bring your dog?

Don't have a dog, but walking might be fun.

Have you read and do you agree to the Waiver of Liability ? You need to answer that you have read the waiver and do agree with it.

I have read the Waiver of Liability and agree with it.

Please read the description of the group carefully. If you do not apply as an individual, you will not be accepted. No guests on paddles ever. After a second "no show", a person is automatically dropped from the group.

Introduction

Been paddling the Caloosahatchie for the past year, the Alafia for a year before that. Spent a lot of time on the water, but not with groups. Looking forward to a new experience.
