Hey everyone! I hope you have had a good summer paddling and have improved your skills! I have been away on an adventure and just got a job in New Orleans. I have missed paddling with you this summer!
I have my NDK Romany for sale. It is three years old and was purchased in the fall of 2008 from Virginia Sea Kayak Center. It is fiberglass and has a black deck, white hull and blue pinstripe/cockpit combing (very unique and pretty). It's in great condition with the usual scratches, which show up more because of the color. I believe NDK is one of the best manufacturers out there.
I really love this kayak, especially since it was my first. It is stable, great in rough water and rolls easily. The reputation of the Romany is well known. I've finally decided to sell it because unfortunately I just don't see myself paddling it much anymore, and it hasn't been used at all this season. Ever since I got into the Greenland thing, it feels so big on me. I prefer lower volume boats with an ocean cockpit, and I've been eyeing a few new kayaks from Seabird Designs
which are just recently being imported to the US. So I'd like to see the Romany go to someone who will love on it. For the average paddler, it would be a fantastic boat. I'm asking $2000 OBO.
