What we're about

If you were sexually abuse as a child, whether you identify as male or female, it has effected much of your life. Maybe you have trust issues, relationship problems, simmering rage, self-medicating in ways that don't serve you, an inability to fully succeed in your career, or PTSD. These are just some of the ways that the after effects of the trauma may show up in your life. I am on a healing journey and I'd love to create a network of survivors so we can support each other and break through the shame and isolation that accompany survivors. I am not a counselor. I am a transformational life coach. I have several years of training and experience in creating safe environments for sharing deeply to transform patterns of behavior that don't serve our higher interest and purpose. My current plan for this group is to follow the 7-step self-help program for men and women to heal the trauma of childhood sexual abuse as present in Beverly Engel's book The Right to Innocence. If you can get a copy to read it would be helpful but it is not mandatory. I'm eager to meet you and to hear what you would like to receive from this group. Because of the sensitivity of this issue I will interview each member. I will also lead the group in creating a set of shared agreements.
