Lunchtime concert

Dear All,

Would you like to join me for this free lunchtime concert at St James's church? I was told not to miss this piano recital by Salih Can Gevrek who will be playing:

Beethoven Piano Sonata No2 op.2

and Brahms Piano Sonata No1 op.1

The concert starts at 1:10 so we could meet before for a quick snack.

If you are coming to the concert tomorrow, Wednesday at 7 pm, at St James's Church Piccadilly for the performance of Trio Isimsiz, please remember that the seats are not numbered and there is going to be a queue at the door. I will be at the church from 5 pm onwards and you can come early and purchase your tickets. The Royal Academy of Arts, Fortnum and Masons, Hatchards are all within very easy reach as well as a lot of antique shops and Bond Street, expensive but at least good for window shopping!!

It turned out to be a brilliant event. We had delicious coffee at Kahve Dunyasi and a chat, getting to know each other. It was convivial. The church is a very welcoming venue and that is why I always use it for the concerts of my charity Talent Unlimited. For some reason it always has a warm atmosphere. The people who run it are very friendly and easy to work with. The performance was electric. Salih Can Gevrek deserves the wonderful support he gets from Russell Race, his sponsor who was there at the performance. He was delighted with the reaction of the appreciative audience and as another sponsor of Salih' I am equally delighted. Helen who works for the church ran out of programmes as there were so many people there at a lunchtime recital and Sarah Baxter who organises the concerts at the church is offering Salih another concert due to "public demand"!

    Dear All,

This is a free concert but a donation would be appreciated. On the website they have suggested a £3.50 donation. No ticket and no booking.

One of our members, Canan Maxton, has suggested Kahve Dunyasi for a snack and I think that this is an excellent idea. It is located at 200 Piccadilly (Unit3). I have never been there so a good occasion to try something new. I will be there from 12:00/12:15.

I am looking forward to meeting those members who can join us on the 23rd.

I will be in Kahve Dunyasi too at 12:00 and perhaps we can all get to meet each other face to face.

Those of you who would like a snack before or after the concert could try Kahve Dunyasi, a coffee shop of Turkish origin with delicious snacks and chocolates. It is very near the church in the direction of Piccadilly. Just in case someone thinks so...no, I do not have any shares in that business.

I look forward to seeing all of you. The pianist Salih Can Gevrek is one of the proteges of my charity. He is doing extremely well at Royal College of Music and I am delighted that St James's Church offered him a lunchtime recital.
