What we're about

It's said that a stranger is a friend that you haven't met yet, however, breaking the ice with strangers can be hard when you're in a room full of them. What are you supposed to say, how will you remember all of their names & how will you know who the meeting organiser is?

So where do our Meetups take place? Geographically, within a 10-mile radius of Kidderminster. That's a wide enough circle to ensure there are enough exciting places to meet. In terms of the type of venues we meet at, the focus is on social Meetups, so this means recommended pubs & restaurants. The key word in the last sentence is recommended. The Meetup calendar for this group is based on member recommendations. This ensures that the group is as interactive as possible.

It's free to join this group for the time being. However, depending on the venue, there may be a charge for attending.

If your new to the area or maybe just at a loose end & want to get out of the house & make some new friends this winter then why not join our group? Go on!

Stourport Circular Walk

Ye Old Crown Inn

This walk around Stourport on Severn makes use of the Severn way plus the Geo parkway to create a fantastic circular. It runs on mostly flat paths with a couple of moderate climbs. On the way you'll enjoy waterside sections along the River Severn and the Staff Worc Canal and it includes Hartlbury Common and Leapgate Country Park. Meet at the top end of the fairground carpark by Ye Old Crowne. From Stourport bridge we pick up the Severn Way and follow it towards Bewdley past some woodland trails and views over to Ribbesford Woods. We then pick up the the Geopark Way and head SE to Blackstone and Burlish Top, an elevated position providing stunning views over the surounding countryside. We then follow the canal to Upper Mitton and take a break at the Rock Tavern for an optional drink, then east to explore Leapgate Country Park and Hartlebury Common. Leaving the common the route picks up the riverside path again, passing the River Stour and the canal basin before returning to Stourport Bridge. The walk is around 7 miles so ensure you have appropriate boots, water and a level of fitness.
