***Snowshoes and microspikes required. A Discover Pass is required for vehicles parking at the trailhead. Though the first section may be plowed the last two miles is likely going to be covered in feet of snow!!***
THERE IS A LOT OF LOWLAND SNOW!! LET'S GO TO THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN TIGER MOUNTAIN STATE FOREST IN SNOWSHOES!! Last time we did this hike it was a fantastic success and it was filled with excellent views. This is a light hike at 8 miles round-trip and 1800 feet of elevation gain. The top of East Tiger has one of the best views in all of Tiger State Park. The trail will be busy but not nearly as chaotic as West Tiger 3. The last time we took a group we were granted excellent views. I hope to see everyone there.
Rating 3: Hike between 5-12 miles and up to 3500 feet of elevation gain. Hike could require low level scrambling up to Class 2. An example of this kind of hike would be the true summit of Rattlesnake Mountain, East Tiger Mountain (low end), The Margaret Way trail to the Squak Mountain, Mount Washington and Mount Si without the Haystack scramble. Anyone can sign up for these hikes provided they have the items that are needed for the trip.
Attendance will be taken at every event and like most other major groups we will have a two no-shows and you are out of the group policy. You will be responsible for your own safety. Every Organizer and Event Planners are volunteers and are not professional guides.
