One of my favorite hikes so, I want to go back. It says 10.4 miles but it was closer to 11.5 miles round trip. This will be a slow pace hike to enjoy the day. I need to repeat--this will be a SLOW pace hike--last year we had a few people comment on how slow we hiked. We average 2 miles per hour if that give you an idea.
Beautiful forest, rushing creek, waterfalls along the way and of course the blue-green lake surrounded by snowy peaks. It is a popular hike so we will not be alone. Bring extra water, poles if you need them and a camera. We will take the upper trail on the way up and the lower trail on the way down.
Dogs are welcomed but need to be on a leash at all times.
