What we're about

This is a group for fans of Patrick Rothfuss and his works. Whether you’ve been a member of the #OneFamily for the last 10 years, or are new to the series, we’d be happy to have you! I would love to meet other fans and have some great discussion. If you have suggestions for MeetUps, please make them and we’ll go from there! (Please note that while this is based on the Kingkiller Chronicle, I realize that people might like to suggest other books to read, or shows to watch, etc. Just make sure your suggestions make sense in the context of this group, thanks.)

While this is new, we’ll be Chicago-based, but if you know other people in other places, please encourage them to join. I’d like to see people from all over come together for group talks and such via the internet (platform would be determined later). I also have to note that I love this community and have been wanting to make a group like this for a while.

Learn to play Tak!
Needs a date and time

Needs a location

Let's learn how to play Tak! Bring your own board and pieces if you have them, or we'll have a couple sets available to share. In the comments, please suggest dates, times, and neighborhoods that work best for you so we can try to accommodate as many people as possible. Looking for a possible date in early-mid November. About the game: Tak: A Beautiful Game is a 2-player abstract strategy game invented by James Ernest of Cheapass Games (http://www.cheapass.com/) and Patrick Rothfuss. It was introduced in Pat's book The Wise Man's Fear. Buy it here (https://thetinkerspacks.com/collections/tak-a-beautiful-game).
