Lowell Handler is a photographer whose pictures have appeared in Life, Newsweek, Elle, U.S. News & World Report, The (London) Sunday Times Magazine, The New York Review of Books, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and the Southern Poverty Law Center's magazines, as well as many journals from Brazil to Japan. Handler will be featured in Ric Burns new PBS documentary film Oliver Sacks: His Own Life, and in Sacks’ new posthumous book release Everything in its Place, (Knopf April 2019) which includes a chapter called “Travels with Lowell.”

New to the Kingston art scene, Gallery Fifty5 is an integrative space that supports artists and the Hudson Valley. They strive to connect with the community, create an environment that fosters big ideas, and collaborate with creators to bring their vision to life. Owner Marie DiPerri has shifted gears in artistic expression from making to curating in order to bring this mission statement into fruition. Showcasing monthly group and solo exhibitions with artists spanning from Brooklyn to Albany, Marie is expanding the attraction to Kingston’s artistic community.
