  • Kingston LGBT Forum at Pride in London

    London

Pride in London is one of the biggest events in our calendar. As in previous years, we'll be walking as a group in the pride parade. Every person in our group must have an official Pride in London wristband which you can register for on our website. For maximum visibility, we hope that everyone in the parade wears a Kingston LGBT Forum t-shirt. The 'Pride Pack' is £10 + postage and includes a t-shirt and the wristband to march in the Pride parade with us. https://www.kingstonlgbtforum.org.uk/product/pridepack/ T-shirts will be posted to people individually so please book with plenty of time for them to arrive. If you have a t-shirt from a previous year you can wear, or cannot afford one you can simply register for a free wristband on our website. https://www.kingstonlgbtforum.org.uk/product/pride-in-london-wristband/ Full details and timings will be emailed to everyone who registers for a wristband however the rough timings for the day are as follows. 11:15 - Meet outside Surbiton Station 11:38 - Surbiton to Waterloo Train 12:00 - Meet at Waterloo Station 12:25 - Arrive at Regent's Park Underground Station The following timings are very rough as it all depends on the parade itself which can be delayed for many reasons. 12:30 - 13:30 Waiting in the holding area before the parade to begins. 13:30 - 15:00 Pride Parade Please be aware that there is quite a bit of waiting around in a crowded area. The atmosphere is amazing however anyone that might find this challenging should take this into consideration. The weather as always is very unpredictable. In previous years we've had intense heat and heavy rain on the same day. Dogs are not allowed (Pride in London's rule, not ours) and under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. There are further details about Pride in London on their website. Email Liam on [masked] if you have any questions.

  • Pub quiz at the Grove in Surbiton

    The Grove Pub

Let's win the Grove quiz again: join us at The Grove Pub in Surbiton from 7:30 pm for an 8 pm start. If you find yourself shouting at the television during University Challenge, then this is the event for you. All welcome: bring friends, family and, most of all, your encyclopaedic knowledge. If you want to take part in the quiz, there is a charge of £1 per person, payable to the Grove Pub shortly before the start. If there are lots of us, they may insist that we split into several teams, so best to start strategically eyeing-up those who can tell you who scored the winning goal at the 1974 World Cup, and those who know the capital of Bhutan. The pub is on the corner of Grove and Maple Roads in Surbiton. The full address is, 9 Grove Road, Surbiton, KT6 4BX. Look out for Liam (pictured) We look forward to seeing you there!
