What we're about
To create a community in and around Kingston where people know their neighbours and say hello to strangers, and where people can enjoy a wide range of activities and social events right on their doorstep. We want to bring out the best in people and show everyone the best that Kingston and the surrounding areas has to offer!
To bring people in our community together
To highlight opportunities to try new things and learn new skills in the local area
To encourage active engagement in the local community, through supporting good causes and local small businesses
To make Kingston the happiest place to live in all of the UK!
We have the courage to try new things and constantly challenge ourselves to expand our comfort zones
We are inclusive and accepting of all people who wish to participate
We respect each other's cultures and religions
We support and engage in our local community
We appreciate the little things in life and the opportunities we have to make the most of our lives
Most of our events will be in Kingston and the surrounding areas, but once in a while we may branch out and head up into the big city or even outside the city walls (gasp who knew there was life outside London!)
We organise a range of events, so there will be something for absolutely everyone. Just a small sample of events we have held: coffee & cake, indoor rock climbing, Sunday roasts, riverside walks, pub nights, dance classes, comedy nights, live music ... the list goes on and will keep on expanding!
We like active members so please feel free to suggest a Meetup as I am sure there will be a few others who have the same interests as you.
What's Not Ok
Anti-social behaviour or any event that encourages it
Events and activities that promote low self esteem in women
Network marketing or any activities / events related to it
Abusive, harassing or discriminating behaviour towards any member
People who consistently RSVP and no-show (it's just plain rude mate!)
It's up to you to make your life what you want it to be. We can provide the opportunities but you need to grab them. Carpe Diem!
