This is a faith-based peer support group where we explore how our spirituality can support us with our mental health challenge. This group has been meeting monthly since Oct, 2014. Each night we explore a theme related to mental health that connects with spirituality in some form. If the group is large, after an initial discussion, we will break off into small groups or do some form of activity that helps us go deeper with the theme. We end with a closing ritual and people can linger if more support is needed.
We also have a psychospiritual therapist intern who provides free counselling to all group members who want counselling support between group meetings.
