What we're about
The purpose of this group is for people who enjoy beading, particularly working with seedbeads of all shapes and sizes, to get together to talk about beadwork, share their work, share ideas, do beadwork together, and teach each other beadwork techniques and projects.
You should join if you enjoy working with beads to make jewelry or other types of objects, if you'd like to share your work with other beaders, if you are willing to teach other beaders, or if you would like to learn from other beaders.
All beaders are welcome: brand-new beginners, intermediate beaders, advanced beaders, and beaders who have bead-related businesses.
I expect that at each meet-up we will either have some instruction or demonstration of a beadwork technique or project presented by one of the group members or we will bring our individual projects to work on (or both). You are always welcome to bring your own project to work on if that's what you'd prefer.
I love doing seedbead work and the reason I started this meet-up group was to find people on the west side of Puget Sound to bead with. I’m so happy that this effort was successful and we have a vibrant group of friends who meet regularly to bead together and to learn new new projects and techniques. I am a member of the Northwest Bead Society that meets in Seattle and I attend the monthly meetings of their seedbeaders group that meets in Edmonds. But I live on the west side of the sound and I love to meet and bead with other west-siders! I know there are lots of other Kitsap Beaders out there, so I hope you will join us at a meet-up soon. We are a friendly, fun and welcoming group.
Note: This is a participatory group, so if you should find that you join but don’t participate I will eventually remove you from the group. Anyone who is removed for non-participation is welcome to rejoin whenever they would like to participate.
