Written instructions will be available to take home. For those who feel comfortable trying something new, Marcy is bringing hat patterns and will provide assistance. COST: There is no charge for this class, but you need to purchase your yarn and hook in advance (these can be found at JoAnn's or Walmart). WHAT TO BRING: 1. Cotton Yarn (Lily Sugar & Cream or Peaches & Cream). 2. Crochet Hook (size F,G,H, or I). 3. Once a month, we gather to learn and/or teach new crafts and skills, share ideas, and visit with each other over a yummy potluck lunch. Projects, details, pricing, and craft leaders vary from month to month, and project to project. Members take on the role of Craft Leader when they choose a craft project and volunteer to take the lead in teaching the rest of us how to create it. Craft Leaders present and teach their craft, and decide on that day's details, including craft cost (if any), number of attendees, and what tools and/or supplies people should bring. We generally have a lot of fun and have created some great projects! Our group meets on the third Saturday of every month from 12 - 4 PM in the Community Room at The Pearl on Oyster Bay (Cheryl's place). - Weekend Getaway #9 - "Spring Getaway" @ Pacific Beach Resort - 2 Nights
Deadline is approaching to secure houses, please get your payment in if you have not already done so. "SPRING BEACH GETAWAY" Come on out and join your friends for a fun filled weekend @ the "Beach" I have secured 4 cottages, for the weekend. These houses are on the east (not ocean) side. Up to two dogs may be in one of the house's ($20 per night per dog) but they will not be allowed into the other houses for any reason. This is a Military Recreation Facility. Note: Due to wind damage the hot tub building is not open, but the bowling alley will be open for use at specific times of the day. Cost will be $100 paid by check or cash to Shari Hunter - this price includes: two nights, and 5 meals (Friday Night dinner, Saturday Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, and Sunday Breakfast). The cottages sleeping accommodations are as follows: two rooms have a queen size bed (to be shared with another person) the other two rooms have two twin beds. Rates are based on double occupancy per room. If you want a room to yourself I have rooms available in each house for $160 per person. Maximum occupancy for these units is 8 people. We are limited to 4 vehicles per site so please make carpool arrangements with each other and I suggest you try and leave Bremerton around 1 pm. Driver should leave Bremerton with a full tank of gas, upon return - fill up their tank and divide the cost by the number of people that rode in that vehicle. The wind is usually great for kite flying (so don't forget to bring it). Weather permitting Saturday we will take a sack lunch up to Lake Quinault and spend the day exploring the trails, if not there is always beach walking and games, and a movie in the movie theater up at the hotel. I will have driving directions for all drivers. I will be leaving early to ensure a timely checkin and have some things set up. Will try my best to get the houses next to each other. Check-in time is 3 PM so plan on arriving any time after that. Due to the popularity of this event, a $50 deposit is required by February 20, 2019 (you will not be confirmed until I receive payment). Payments may be made to Shari by cash or check. No RSVPs are confirmed until receipt of payment. [email Shari - Wild Child thru this site for mailing instructions]. You may cancel and receive a full refund up until March 30, 2019 after that date there are no refunds but feel free to coordinate with someone else to take your space. Final payment of $50 must be made by April 1, 2019. Be sure and add your name to the Waiting List as past experience proves people RSVP and then cancel and the more the merrier.
