Inkscape is a free and open source software vector graphics editor. This collaborative workshop is a segue between our Pablo the Polargraph Drawing Bot class and our laser cutter classes. SVG vector graphics files can be used in 2D projects such as with Pablo in Pablo's SVG mode, and also in 3D additive/subtractive manufacturing projects such as 3D printing and laser cutting. This class offers a basic summary to what an SVG file is, an intro to useful features in Inkscape and alternate programs when creating and manipulating SVG files for projects at Knox Makers, and a few things that can be done with SVG files once you have them.
