The benefits of Tai Chi don't come from choreographed forms, they come from the quality of your movement. The way Tai Chi tests and improves that quality is with games called Push Hands. Push Hands Games are gentle, easy to learn games that are fun to play, and they build internal power. Push Hands is the cornerstone of true Tai Chi!
This is the perfect event for anyone interested in Tai Chi. If you've been doing forms for years and have seen results come very slowly or not at all, you need to come play with us. If you are just starting out in Tai Chi, these games will give you the real-world feedback you need to eliminate bad habits right away and shave years (even decades) off of your training time. Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect!
We seek to promote a fun and engaging atmosphere of learning. Our Games are meant to build skill and internal power, not to be a tournament-style competition. Everyone is welcome regardless of skill level. Whether you are new to Push Hands Games or an experienced player, you will learn a game you can play for the rest of your life that will build your internal power and sensitivity.
Our preferred method of Push Hands is an Internal style that is much different from the common varieties you may have seen. This game comes from the closed-door secret methods of advanced Wu Stylists, but all types of play are welcome. This is the main game taught and practiced by Clear's Tai Chi, and we are happy to have a Meetup that lets us work with their students!
"At Clear’s Martial Arts, we believe that everyone deserves a long and healthy life, safe from harm. We are committed to making high-level martial arts secrets accessible to the public."
"The mission of Clear’s Tai Chi is to fuel a revolution in Tai Chi Instruction based on the pursuit of function, not choreography, not philosophy. We teach principles and methods that produce results, not just more techniques and sets. We aim to inspire a deeper appreciation of Tai Chi by making the closed-door, inner-circle secrets of the art available to all of our students."
