The purpose of this meetup is to provide a framework in which individuals have the opportunity to meet new friends, share new experiences, gain knowledge from one another, and cooperatively support causes in outdoor preservation, restoration, and access general conservation issues.  We have events at all skill levels from beginner to expert.  We look forward to you joining us on the hiking trail, bike trail, camping, hiking, traveling, and more!

Outdoor Safety advice from the US Forest Service https://www.fs.fed.us/recreation/safety/saf...

Safety:  Paddling at any level is a risky sport.  Each individual is ultimately responsible for his or her own safety.  Each individual is responsible for having appropriate equipment, for having the requisite skills for padding/sailing a given river or lake, and for the decision to run any river rapid or body of water.  Although ultimate responsibility rests with the individual, important safety benefits are gained from paddling with a group of other prepared and competent paddlers.

Bike Safety: Always wear a helmet, wear bright colored clothing, use lights at night, and stay alert. Be sure to bring repair tools and have an extra tube when possible.

We will open up to some new venues this year such as mountain biking, caving, long distance bike riding and other outdoor activities.
