The Korean Language & Culture Centre of Wonkwang Digital University aims to introduce Korean culture and language to people living in New Zealand. We are using the premises of the Won-Buddhist Centre for Mindfulness and Wellbeing. Our goal is to foster inter-cultural communication and support individuals interested in learning Korean language. We are also hosting cultural events to showcase Korean culture. This initiative is supported by Wonkwang Digital University.
Brought to you by, Wonkwang Digital University’s Korean Language Culture Centre. Introduction: A summer camp set in Korea where you are given the opportunity to experience Korean culture. Camp period: 3 July 2017 – 28 July (4 weeks) Class/session total: 80 hours Korean – 3 hours 4 times a week, Extracurricular activities – 2 hours once a week (choice from taekwondo, samulnori, cooking, tea ceremony, traditional crafts), Cultural experiences – 4 hours once a week (e.g. Museum, palace visit, kimchi cultural experience, mud flat experience and more). Classes: 5 days a week Monday – Thursday: Korean class, Wednesday: extracurricular activity, cultural experience: Friday. Cost: 550,000 WON pp (covers Korean classes, extracurricular activities, cultural experiences, and insurance). Accommodation, food expenses, transport expenses must be covered by with own expenses but accommodation arrangement service available.
