Full-Day Beginners Intensive

Official Announcement: http://ow.ly/dr4py

UPDATE (Sept[masked]): Please see the change of schedule below.
To minimize the cost, I had to change the venue. Since most venues do not open at 10 am, I also had to change the time. It affects only the first class, which starts later than originally scheduled. Thank you for your understanding my effort to keep the classes free of charge.

Kindly update your RSVP if this affects your schedule. Thank you.

*************************

Usually our workshop days are designed to accommodate multiple levels of Korean learners. This time, we will have a different kind of workshop: a Full-Day Intensive Classes dedicated to Beginners (and Novice).

As usual, we will jam-pack our sessions with resource, study materials and tools you can take home and help yourselves.

Classes will be intensive, but you will be in a casual and laid-back setting. Let's laugh and have fun while learning too.

It looks a long day, but we are spreading out our lessons and will take slow. So it will be an easy day!

Zeanie, will you have something like this for intermediate level?

    September 9, 2012

    • Zean E Y.

I'd like to, Eugene. I just need to figure out how we can narrow down the level. Intermediate can be anywhere near novice to near advanced, and there are so many and so much we can do.I'm open to a suggestion, and racking my brain on this. :)

Sweet, sweet day! We all were exhausted after 8 hours of learning and practicing. But at the end of the day, 19 people walked out of the room, being able to say and understand "Who does what and where" and "Who goes/comes/returns from and/or to where." What a productive day! I cannot wait to do this again. Thanks all for coming and doing so well! *muah*

I have learned so much from this class in one day! Zeanie was an awesome teacher! There were a lot of techniques that had help me memorize the consonant and vowels.
I wish we could do it again.

Sorry Zeanie but I still haven't received an email... I'm assuming Yellow House at 11 though?

  • David

Thanks for all the work setting this up, Zeanie.

    September 8, 2012

  • Zean E Y.

@Jimmy, I will, but I don't know when. I am a professional Korean instructor, so I do it just enough not to cause conflicts with my clients' and schools' interests. So far, that's about twice a year. If anyone wants to form study groups and need a native's help, I can support you more liberally. :)

    September 7, 2012

    • Jimmy

what do you mean? I live in OC, and Im kind of familiar with Korea town now, since my friend used to live there for Film School. The only problem was that work got in the way of me going to your events last year. Now, I think I can do it if it is on thursdays and fridays.

May i please get the physical address?
it shows me how to get there but i mean what building, what plaza or coffee shop? O_o

    September 7, 2012

  • David

Have you decided where this is? Sorry, about the last post. I thought it said it was at noran jip, but that is for a different class. Thanks.

    September 7, 2012

  • Zean E Y.

A couple of you wanted study materials beforehand. Thanks for asking! I am sorry to say that all study materials will be handed out during classes only, i.e. to attendees only. This is not because I do not want to share the study materials (you can see all my lessons on line on various sites). Here is why:

For every workshop I re-write curriculum and study materials so that they are customized based on your specific skill sets and circumstances. Plus, this intensive course is even shorter than the regular intensive course (we're meeting only 6 hours!). So I must have flexible study plans for you and will be taking different approaches to guide you through. At the end of day, you will have plenty to take home - so please come. :)

    See you in 24 hours!
