Photowalk: Zoo Negara
Zoos are basically Guantanamo Bay of the animal world where animals are imprisoned without trial (i'm kidding but you know what I mean). The proponents of zoos say that they are an important educational institution, a place where people can understand and learn about the the animal kingdom, which also supports breeding and conservation efforts of endangered species. Our national zoo, "Zoo Negara", has an added attraction in the past couple of years: pandas. China presented Malaysia with two pandas as a souvenir (which we have to pay for) in commemoration of 40 years of diplomatic ties between the 2 countries. While pandas are the star attraction for this photowalk, you would probably find shooting animals an interesting challenge. They move, they don't look into the camera, they have different habitats that may or may not be natural or interesting in the zoo. This should be fun. Entry fees (group discounts available but we need to have a minimum of 20): Malaysian RM44 ASEAN RM63 Others RM85 (I will set the date later, depending on how many people sign up)

    What we're about

A group for all levels of photography practitioners - entry level, amateurs and even full time pros - to share techniques, our work, give feedback and improve our photography.

But most importantly just enjoy photography - by actually taking photos, regardless of your choice of camera: from DSLRs, to film camera, to camera phones...

The general philosophy of the club is that:

    1) the world is a wonderful and interesting place

    2) we enjoy/understand/appreciate it through our photography
