This hike is a little bit of a drive from Albany but is totally worth it! Lets hope for some dry, sunny weather. This hike is 1.8 miles long with a 600 foot elevation gain. The hike up Vroman's Nose give some breathtaking views of the Schoharie Valley. I would describe this hike as easy because it is so short, but there are some steep sections to be aware of.
Directions: Take 88 to exit 22 and take a left on route 145. Take this to the center of Middleburgh and take a right on route 30. Take your first right onto Mill Valley Road (This is what Mapquest has it labeled, however my guidebooks say West Middleburgh Rd. I will try to update exactly, but just be aware it is the first right). The trailhead will be on the left approx. 0.6 miles down. This is a residential neighborhood and the parking is limited here, If anyone can carpool please do so. We will be meeting at the L.L. Bean Colonie Center parking lot at 9:30a if anyone is interested in carpooling from there.
