DUE TO THE WEEKEND'S WEATHER FORECAST THE STAR WATCH HAS BEEN CANCELLED. WE WILL TRY FOR APRIL. :-(
Join the Friends of Grafton Lakes State Park and the Albany Area Astronomers for this free tour of the night sky, telescopes provided. Enter the park via Winter Entrance on North Long Pond Road and then follow the signs to program. Cloudy skies or rain may cancel, so please call Dorothy at[masked] or Bernard (FGLSP host) at[masked] to confirm program.
Please be dressed for the weather, it gets cold in Grafton during March. Warm footwear is recommended as we will be standing still most of the time. Don't forget hats, mittens and toe warmers.
Feel free to bring your own telescopes or binoculars if you have them. This photo is from one of the recent Star Watches.... bring your camera and tripod.
A camp chair is nice if you have one.... you can sit back and enjoy the night sky.
The white light from flashlights interferes with our night vision... if you have a headlamp with a red light that would be best. I do have red cellophane to put over your white light if needed.
Look for Dorothy's black Jeep Liberty. Feel free to text me if you have any questions at[masked]-9660.
