Often the best way to really learn about the agile Product Owner role is to experience it. But how do we do that and try new things without the "real world" pressures?

Join us as agile coach Alan Dayley takes us through an engaging evening of hands-on activities that explore the many facets of the Product Owner role. Even experienced Product Owners will take away new techniques they can use with their teams.

When: Wednesday, January 16th
Networking and food, 6:00 PM.
Presentation starts, 6:30 PM.

***** Always free, but YOU MUST RSVP to !!! *****

The Product Owner Role: Have Fun With It!

The Scrum role of Product Owner is vital to the success of the Scrum Team. More importantly, it is vital to the success of the product. Because the position is so important we usually spend time talking about how the role is hard to do. The Product Owner must face the customer and stakeholders and still work with the developers. The Product Owner must understand business value and still be able to trust the technical capabilities of the team. All the information from outside the team flows to the Product Owner for filtering and Product Backlog grooming. Sounds like so much work!

And it can be very fun and rewarding.

This session will address some more interesting and fun ways for the Product Owner to do their work. There are several key techniques that can turn all the noise and responsibility into an exciting role of product development. Effective communication, working solutions with your customer and steering the Scrum Team to the right solution make the Product Owner role one of the most valuable and exciting jobs in Agile. Learn to not only value this role, but have fun doing it!

If you are not a Product Owner, this session is especially for you. Through this presentation and activities you will learn more about the forces that pull on the Product Owner. An appreciation for the work of the Product Owner and the power in that role is for you to experience.
