What we're about

Calling all LA feminists that like to read and meet new people!! All are welcome.

Let’s start a book club/group of like minded individuals that meets a couple of times per month somewhere in LA for events and book discussions. Coffee shops, bars, libraries, wherever.

Books will be related to feminism in some way, and could be fiction or non fiction in nature. I’ve been reading titles like The Power, The Vagina Monologues, and Persepolis.

Please message me if you have any ideas or want to coordinate meetups with me.

P.S. At every meetup I will be there 15-20 mins early. I will post in the comments section where I am and how to find me!

August Book Discussion: Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid

Online event

Let's read Such a Fun Age! Zoom worked pretty well this past weekend so let's try it again for this book! Alternatively, we could consider meeting in-person, outdoors, with masks/socially distanced if weather permits and based on level of interest. Here is the description from Goodreads: In the midst of a family crisis one late evening, white blogger Alix Chamberlain calls her African American babysitter, Emira, asking her to take toddler Briar to the local market for distraction. There, the security guard accuses Emira of kidnapping Briar, and Alix's efforts to right the situation turn out to be good intentions selfishly mismanaged.
