Hadoop Training Lab - Please read details - very limited space

The LA Hadoop User Group and the LA HBase User group proudly present the Hadoop Training Lab. The first LA community based lab to showcase some of the features of the Hadoop ecosystem. In this lab, we will introduce Hadoop and explain some of the basic features of the Hadoop architecture. Since we would like to keep this to a very interactive session, we will limiting the number of people who can attend. There is a nominal fee of $10 to ensure that you attend and don't block someone else from attending, we will return this fee at the event. You would need to bring your laptop as well download a Virtual Machine(VirtualBox or VM Player) and download the VM image before the class(link to be provided after successfully signing up). We will provide the dataset for you to play with. Lastly we recommend you to have some programming and/or SQL knowledge. This will help move the class forward so we can focus on actually playing with the dataset.

When you go to the linked event page (http://www.meetup.com...) and RSVP, you will be added to the wait list. However, if a spot is available, you will be asked to pay this fee upon RSVPing.

Also please be aware that though our first session is full, if you are added to the wait list, you still have the chance to participate in the event that someone cannot attend and changes their RSVP.

So which page (here, HBase, or both) is the real RSVP?

The HBase page is the correct one to go to for RSVP. Unfortunately, we are presently full. We do hope to plan some more in the near future!
