Introducing Visual Studio LightSwitch
Visual Studio LightSwitch is the simplest way to build business applications for the desktop and cloud for developers of all skill levels. LightSwitch simplifies the development process by letting you concentrate on the business logic, while LightSwitch handles the common tasks for you. In this demo-heavy session, you will see, end-to-end, how to build and deploy a data-centric business application using LightSwitch. You will also see how professional developers can enhance the LightSwitch experience by tapping into its rich extensibility model.
First, thanks to Dylan for finding us a venue for this meeting at the last minute. Also LASLUG has been accepted into INETA (http://www.ineta.org). Basically INETA is the biggest organization that supports Microsoft .NET usergroups so this is a BIG DEAL. Woody Pewitt will be our INETA Membership mentor. If you would like to drop him a line as an LASLUG member you can do so at woody at pewit dot org.
We had some trouble getting our show online as our online producer, Peter Genovese was away on vacation. Hopefully he will be available and we will once again be able to broadcast the meeting LIVE. Stay tuned for information on this; I will email the URL for the online meeting when we confirm it will be available online.
See you at the meeting! Victor Gaudioso
