LACK Christmas Party

  • Dec 14, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • Skipping Fish Boat School

Join us on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 6:00 PM for the Louisville Area Canoe and Kayak’s Annual Holiday Party! (I am back at organizing it, so you know it will be good ~ Pedro)

This year will be bigger and better.. there will be door prizes and raffles (to benefit the group)... so bring some cash with you...lol

You DO NOT want to miss this party.. you must be present to win...LOL

Kimberley Hillerich, with Skipping Fish Boat School, has graciously volunteered one more time to allow us use of her facility located in Butchertown again this year (LACK party centre).

Kimberly will be on hand to give us a mini-tour of the facility, check out boats in production mixed in with a little bit of history. We’re hoping to also have a TV setup with kayaking-related videos.

The Skipping Fish Boat School is located at:
609 East Washington Street
Louisville, KY 40202

The nearest cross-street is Hancock and only a block from Main Street -- VERY close to Slugger Field and the Skate Park to give you a reference. They are across the street from Creation Gardens -- you can't miss the big red trucks. The building has orange double-doors. Parking will be on the street -- but plentiful. Downtown gets pretty deserted on the weekends.

As times get closer I would like to see some thoughts about what dishes are you bringing – to keep track, please include what you plan to bring in the comments section of your RSPV – remember you can edit the comments any time (click on 'Change your mind about attending?').

Later, once we get an idea of how many people to expect and who’s bringing what – I will take a look and see if I can fill in the gaps to make sure we are covered. Bring your own chair.

BBC is not longer our sponsor, but, I am working on bringing Falls City Beer in, so we might have some beer, If not bring your own... If you do not drink what we have on hand then feel free to bring whatever makes you happy. (Officially became a BYOB event)

Hopefully that covers all the bases – if you have any questions, please let me know.
If you would like to know more about the Skipping Fish Boat School, I have linked a couple articles below.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

If I drag my derrière 375 miles to this shindig, I not only expect fancy wear, but fancy dancing! I believe there's a whole troupe of fancy dancin' Kayakers in this troupe, am I right? Believe Meehan danced professionally until he was extracted from some country in Europe, no subsequent jail time with his removal! And about dress casual or fancy, thought with rough kayaker types, fancy dress occasions merely meant your jeans needed to be washed.

Bringing my nearly world famous venison chili and only dressing fancy if Tony Gargotto is going to show. (and fancy for me still includes jeans)
