Announcing a new Meetup for Louisville Area Canoe & Kayak Group!

What: BBC Third Annual Volksfest

When: Saturday, October 2,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Bluegrass Brewing Co. & Tap Room
636 East Main Street
Louisville, KY 40202

Sorry this isn't paddling related, but our wonderful sponsor is hosting the Second Annual Volksfest in downtown Louisville -- sounds like a great event and a chance to meet other local paddlers, and enjoy a nice brew.
This is just to get an idea of who might be there, if we need to figure out a meeting spot, exchange numbers, we can certainly do that later in the week...

They are also looking for volunteers to help pour beer.. nice job!!!. They need 36 folks. Shifts are[masked]-12. Let me know names and shifts thank you all. Some beers are included in your voluntarism.

Here are a few of the descriptions:

Presents the Third Annual Louisville People's Fest.

Saturday Oktober 2, 3pm until Midnight there will be an Oktoberfest style block party at the brewing corner of Clay and Main St. There will also be a rare selection of different Oktoberfest beers from around the world, as well as many other fine hand crafted ales. As always live music and food.

There will be at least 10 different Oktoberfest Beers from local, regional and International breweries. Somewhat confusingly O'Sheas will be providing German food and Liquor

And also - Brigid Kaelin! Consuming Louisville loves Brigid Kaelin.

BBC Taproom will be blocking off the corner of Clay Street between East Market & Main.

All ages are welcomed and admission is free. Proceeds from food and beer sales will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
