I went here a long time ago. It's on the thrillist best bars of the San Fernando Valley. I remember it being tasty and a little run down but it's worth checking out again. I didn't have the oysters before. There's a little parking lot in back which is where you want to enter because we will be at the bar area. Try your best to come early for happy hour. It ends at 6.
Under the same ownership (the Newman family) and in the same Studio City location for over 40 years, they serve some of the best seafood around. Appetizers include the Pacific Northwest oysters served on the half shell, oyster shooters (only $1.25, or a half dozen for $6.00) and our most popular item, fried calamari. The entrees, which are served as generous portions from our open kitchen, come with vegetables and either pasta, rice or garlic mashed potatoes. On some weekends, we serve a seafood stuffed lobster for only $21.95!. We also offer a three-course dinner Monday-Thursday (salad/entrée/dessert) for only $14.95. Remember to BEEFlexible when you dine with us and find out how a seafood restaurant makes the best burger in LA. We have completely remodeled our heated patio, where we serve food and beverages in a cozy environment. Our Happy Hour goes from 3-6pm with some special menu items for only $3.00. We have live music every day of the week. Events start at about 9:00pm but come early for dinner. Planning a party? We offer a free dinner for the guest of honor for parties with 10 or more entrees ordered. Remember, we are The Oyster House…more than great oysters, more than great seafood.
