Arduino workshop intro & L.A. Robotics Funmeet at LOSCON 39

We (Jeni &Tim) are puttiing together Los Angeles' 2nd annual Make Room! Make Room! at the long running, regional LA Science Fiction Convention: Loscon #39.

The con runs Nov[masked] at the LA Airport Marriott. An Ardunio panel and demo are scheduled and a L.A. Robotics table or exhibit is in the preplanning stage, if there is interest.

We might use a few folk to fill out some, if you have cool tech of your own "making" to share...
In general, individuals must purchase tickets to the convention, BUT exhibitors are guests of the con! SO....I would like to provide opportunity for some LARobyfolk to show their stuff.

I believe the arduino panel is on Saturday at 10am, and the arduino workshop is Saturday at 2pm.

Sounds like a blast! Oh, and please pass the word around, SCALE 11x is looking for presenters. I would love to see a strong showing of Arduino and Raspberry Pi this year ( Feb 22-24 ) https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/cfp

Sounds like fun. Perhaps Saturday I'll make an appearance. SciFi, bots, and humans. A good mix.

You buy tickets at the door. Tickets get you admission to the entire convention, not just the Arduino panel. They are $35 for a one-day pass, or $60 for the weekend.

The convention includes the "Make Room! Make Room!" which is a maker exhibition, a whole floor of the hotel full of evening parties, panels with famous science-fiction authors, a dealer's room with everything from books and videos to jewelry and costumes, an art show, a dance and an ice cream social, a masquerade (costume contest) and tons of other special events. It's like a 3-day long party!
